Barton Timber Company Limited
Our very good friend Darren Ives who owns Barton Timber Co Ltd in Hornchurch, has very kindly donated timber to the Hornchurch Aerodrome Historical Trust which will mow enable us to carry out further refurbishments to the RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre. We greatly appreciate his kind generosity towards this local venture. He also had the timber delivered to us by one of his trucks which was driven by Lee, who also kindly posed for the photos outside Suttons House.

Barton Timber Company Limited
50 North Street, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 1SR
Barton Timber Co Ltd are a small family run business which has been operating since 1945, over this time they have been serving both local DIY and trade customers alike. Having traded successfully over this long period of time has of course enabled them to gain the good reputation they have for their service, quality, product range and the knowledge from the helpful staff enabling them to give assistance on many customers projects.
Although they mainly sell carcussing and planed timber they also stock many timber related products such as plywood, MDF sheets and mouldings, decking, stair parts, doors, melamine and fencing. They also have a very well-stocked shop for tools, screws, etc and a vast array of builder’s metalwork.

Crown Decorating Centres
The Hornchurch Aerodrome Historical Trust were contacted last week by Tanya Lakey manager of the Barking Crown Decorating Centre, they were kindly offering us the chance to get some free paint for our project. All of the paints were tinted incorrectly and so obviously could not be sold to the public but rather than them going to waste she asked if we would like them as a donation for our worthy cause and today 8th January 2019, the first batch of paints were delivered to Suttons House by Glen and Darren.
We would of course like to say a big thank you for your true community spirit in helping to support us in getting the RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre up and running.
